I think you'll find that the highest you can buy of the shelf is 3.76.

Is this something new? After all it was a question of diameter.

Vegard is right. An SC CWP is 3.7 only.

Matey on ebay does a SC 3.44

The others are semi-helical from anyone else.

Following an old conversation, SC wear out mega fast, too fast to consider for even a weekender, IIRC. They are also impossible to set up the lash, which seems half the problem.

Can anyone back this up.

I'm after a 3.7 Semi LSD crownwheel. Will buy a new pinion, as they're invariably shot.

Bugger off, I'm getting there.

Anyhow, I still have a 4.1 straight cut CWP, and just to really set you off a 4.2 straight cut CWP, one of which is fitted to a Tran-X LSD in an MBE sequential gearbox in my Mk2 cooper.

SO, just to settle your arguement, you CAN buy a 4.1 and a 4.2 SC CWP.

Back to the start.....happy with SC or semi hel - as long as both gears are mint, and ideally a 3.6. The 4.2 is giving me a headache.......

We are talking new SC crownwheels here. Minispares do a 3.7 and the rest are semi-helical. Unless you are getting Mr Gear Cutter to do specials.

A couple of years ago, this was the case.

Bugger off, I'm getting there.
