Hello,

I am playing with the idea to leave these parts away at my actual project:

I think, they are only good for rusting, when dirt and water gets behind them. I want to seal the hole to the engine bay.

The only thing i keep in mind is the stability. *oh well*

What do you think?

Regards, Andreas

If you dont fit the scuttle closing panel, water will get into the engine bay, as well as starting the A post rotting, which is not a fun job.

Fit the closing panel, and make sure you seal it really well, and then spray Waxoil or similar into the cavity, from the engine bay.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

as sprocket points out, if you leave the closer panel off, this opens up the door post at high level and will rot out far quicker.

I knocked some up when cutting my front end off and sealed up the corners with some metal type putty and lots of spray paint done the job no rust.
