I finally finished my my turbo mini this weekend and got an MOT one hour ago! Pictures of the build will follow this weekend.

The car drives really well, though only on 9 psi for the time being (awaiting RR session).

Thanks Benross for the excellent work on the head!

I do have one short question: the timken SC transfer gears make quite a bit of noise when the car is in neutral and the clutch disengaged. When I engage the clutch or drive the car the ratteling noise dissapears. Is this normal for the S/C timken setup?

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick replies! I will start tuning the car this weekend. I'll send updates on the progress.

SC gears have a fair bit of lash in them and whaat you're hearing is the pulsing of the engine and the lack of pulsing of the gears causing them to go clack clack clack chatter chatter.

Bugger off, I'm getting there.

And when you drop the clutch they stop spinning so the noise stops.

I read somewhere on here someone used the transfer case vent as an oil return i think with their sidse mounteeed turbo but could maybe be used with a normal position turbo to quieten the drops ?!

It is too high for turbos mounted in the conventional way.
