Hi there,
I am after some valve guides and some valve stem oil seals to recondition my metro turbo cylinder head. I've been ringing around and they say that the valve guides are bigger than non turbo ones, no place that i have contacted have valve guides or stem oil seals to fit. Does anyone know where i can get some from??

Thanks!
Ricky *happy*

P.s. Due to the recent trip to the nurburgring & the gear box breaking the reason why i am changing these is because when the car is started up from cold it will smoke quite badly for a couple of minutes while its warmed up. I am also getting the turbo reconditioned because i'm not sure which one of these would cause it to smoke. Thought i might aswell get them both doen while the engine is out!

I have the Turbo valve guides in stock, i wouldn't use the stem seals on the exhaust personally. :)

Disconnect the boost hoses to see if it's the turbo or not.

What about these stem seals?

As Phil says, seals on the exhaust guides are not needed.

I never found any of the larger bore guides and had a standard set reemed out.

Why not use the ones you've got, and fit some K-line inserts. I'd do that if I had 8mm stems.
