In the garage......again!!

I recently stuck a new engine in a friends 106, well, not new, a second hand lump for 100 quid, we cannot for the life of us get it to run, all or most of the sensors are connected, we get fuel at the supply pipe and a spark on the coil pack plug extensions, its like it wants to fire as soon as the key is turned as the speed of the starter increases, then just drops to a steady crank. Does every sensor have to be connected to make a circuit as we have no radiator fitted yet?

you might find it has a cold start system on it and with no rad sensors connected its not putting the cold start system on. stick the rest of it in (or even just connect up the sensors)

start with the easy stuff, charge the battery right up, check you have spark, check you have feul, then check the timing.

if it still doesnt start you may well have a duffer!
