Guys,

Looking for solutions fanwise for my mk1 rad.

Thinking of having motorbike electric fans, but want suck-through not blow through ones.

Is there any way I can tell by looking at pics of ones on egay if they are suck through or blow through ones?

If its a blow through one, couldnt I reverse the direction the fan spins by wiring it the other way and mount it on the back of the rad, what you think?

Also, would 2 be overkill?

Cheers

I managed to get one of the 9" fans squeezed in behind the rad with a full sized alternator in there *happy*

I did have to cut half the cowling off though, LOL

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Thats the one i use...

I wouldnt run without it, but when i have been sitting in traffic a while it drops the temps quickly enough

Hmm yeah they seem the way to go then, just a single 9", sounds familiar *wink*

Judging by what Sprocket said, they best to put at the inlet/outlet end of the rad so it aids cooling as the water enters and exits the rad?

Would it hurt putting it at the clutch end?

You could but you will destroy the effiency of the fan. Will an aircraft wing work as well with the sharp end facing forward and the rounded end at the back!
