well, its all back together now, gonna try a cheapo Mitaka after speaking to a few people there doesnt seem too much in it, only £30 too so if it needs doing again then its no big loss.

got another query now i wouldnt mind peeps advice on, is there a run in procedure for 2 stroke, or should i just thrash it from the word go?

cheers

If the piston fits right it wont need run in just make sure its warm before you thrash it ALWAYS I have had loads of racing two strokes thats the standad way to do it.

hey Allan,

I am a mate of joeybabys and also live on the isle of man. I can't get enough of the TT races, my grandad raced Nortons there in the 50's and it was one of his favourite circuits in the world alongside the nurburgring and Spa. Any man is a brave soul to go round the TT course, respect. Here is a link to your TT profile on the website database if you haven't already seen it....

I would leave mine on the stad in idle every now and then I would blip the throttle and see how much smoke came out the pipe. When smoke plume plumed no more I knew it was good to go. Lots of smoke bad no smoke or very little smoke good.
