Just wondered if anyone wants a ford inertia cut off switch for their electric fuel pumps? I was down at the scrap yard the other day and picked up a few out of the many mk5 escorts that were lying about and i thought someone on here might want one.

It cost me ?9 for five, and i've got 3 left, i've also got some wire with the plug for the switch as well. If you want one, send me a pm and we'll sort something, price will ?2 inc p&p to within UK.

Cheers!

drivers side footwell, next to where your right foot would lie there is a small plasatic panel which pulls off by hand, behind which there is your inertia switch held in with 2 screws!!

just thinking that this might be a good idea.
i was just going to wire my pump up to a live with an on/off switch.
does the inertia switch run in line with this?

from what i gather you use it inline with the switch feed to the relay for the pump, think thats right,

TD should be able to confirm though!

its just a switch. it is normally made so just connects straight through. If you have a big shunt the inertia causes the switch to break-no connection-no power to fuel pump-no fuel spurting over your legs/face/head etc etc

just cut the live wire to your fuel pump in half, and put the inertia switch in. thats all it needs. i've got mine fixed onto the bulkhead by the master cylinder.

i was thinking of it as being relay style
