Hole in my manifold?

Saw this behind a flaked bit of paint on my manifold yesterday:



Just wanted to ask your opinion's on if its not a problem, it looked like its just on the webbing to me but im not entirely sure, as I couldn't see anything when I shone a light in there.

Its at the flange for the turbo, but I don't think its broken through, only one way to find out, when I start it and see if it leaks!!

What you reckon?

id say it looks like some flashing from when its was cast, nothing to worry about

Thanks for the reassurance joey, sort of had nervous breakdown when I saw it.

I thought it was just a defect in the casting like you say, but it looked a bit close for comfort really.

If worse comes to worse, would it be possible to weld it? I'm not sure how weld-able cast iron is?

i belive you have to heat it up alot to then weld it? but that looks like its just webbing to me, doesnt look like it follows the line of the manifold

Its where the drilling for the stud has broken thru I reckon, nothing to worry about.
