What race seried do you run in? sounds like fun to runa car of that spec. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Will we all club together here last year and started a new race series called the Irish Mini Challenge before this we where only allowed to run in the historic racing series, which we found very restrictive. We now have 4 classes (1275 - 1350) class 1 (1350 to 1400) class 2 (1400 +) class 3 and class 4 is heavily moded mini i.e. turbo, super charger, 16V. The only regulation bar safety is that you must use an A - Series block and gear casing and a steel body mini shell. TBH for the likes of my self it is a dream come true it can make things a bit expensive though, but there is a very small number of race minis in Ireland so this does not seem to be such a big problem. I am looking forward to see how it will go, it will be the first turbo to race in the challenge and the first BMW K head to race in the challenge, boom or bust is my motto. Do you really need the steel crank though? On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:
Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

I didn't think my turbo was public knowledge, it's good enough for over 300 banana's On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:

that should be great sir, I would be a little worried about the sharp angle on the pistons where it has been machined out, I'm not sure this is a good idea as things get very hot and there isn't much meat arounf them edges, just wanted to share my thought with you.
