had to get a bump start earlier, as the battery was a little flat. So with the position the car was in at the time i decided to bump it backwards..
it did start, but with a bit of a jolt!
i drove off and instantly could tell that something was wrong, there is a strange noise coming from the gearbox, but only really under load, i'm thinking something to do with the diff?
Also i managed to snap the top engine stabiliser bolt, in the engine! this is not too much of a problem as i have one of those repair brackets that bolt onto the flywheel housing.

So what do you think i could of damaged in the gearbox?

even less impressed as i was planning on taking the car off the road after friday to do a few things over the winter, and a gearbox wasn't one of them!

think it was me being paranoid, i fixed the top engine stabiliser and now it seems alright, must have been where the engine was loose and vibrating on something?
i hope!

I wouldn't bump start in reverse. It will put a tremendous load on the little shitty gear with no bearings.
