Stoke-on-Trent. Duck.

Good day,

I'll keep this brief;

Car's not had the engine run for a while (12 months or so) - certainly not been driven for years. Unfortunately.
The clutch pedal won't press, it's solid. Removed the slave cylinder from the flywheel housing and the plunger will move in and out quite easily by pressing the clutch pedal.
The clutch arm won't budge. This to me suggests the clutch "assembly" has seized together. However...
The car can be pushed in and out of the garage (as happens most weekends) in gear - inc. reverse, with no additional effort required, though I can certainly hear the gearbox going through the gears - almost suggests the clutch is "stuck disengaged"?!

Am I going to be safe with a jump start in neutral? i.e. gearstick in the centre of the gate.
If I try and turn it over in 1st to "force" the clutch to disengage is the starter motor likely to be up to the job? Might this leave things FUBAR?
Can I pull off the flywheel housing (OK, not a 2 minute job, but I can get there via the flip-flop-front) and poke about with things to establish what the bloomin' heck's going on? I guess so, just means getting the housing off...

Any advice appreciated (even the stuff that just makes me chuckle).

Cheers, Dave.

if you can pull it gear that would be the clutch is ingaged so the engine will still spin free, doesnt sound good,

what i mean it is liek the clutch is down. cant figure out if its iongauged or disingauged

its the pivot point in the clutch cover wok, dont force it or youll snap the casting

lots of wd might help, better just whipping the whole wok off though and giving it a work out and good greasing

I levered mine with a bar and copious quantities of penetrating oil to get it going. Barely took any force at all so it obviously wasn't too heavily corroded.

Might be worth a try? I think Joey is the voice of reason here though.
