Hey guys, i was intending to use a pair of metro turbo uprights when i convert my drums to disc, but ive heard they mess the geo up. i compared on the metro uprights to std mini disc one, and the ball joint positioning is a lot higher on the metro uprights.

No, they mess up the geometry.

as Tom says they do stuff to the geometry,

Depends how it is setup, ideal track setup is a long long way away from how we set it for drag use.
