im looking at the minisport ultralight flywheel. i will be using a pre verto clutch setup. can anyone advise whether an ultralight flywheel will be suitable for a road car? i have a cooper mpi for my every day car, so its not as if il be stuck in a lot of traffic in the turbo

judging by the fact you said your running 10psi i guess your going to use a sucker or blower. not sure on a sucker but on a blower a facet fast raod pump will not be high neough pressure for a turbo set up to run right, keep the spi pump that should work better

A turbo engine with a UL flywheel will idle perfecly at 1000rpm. It depends on camshaft of course, but it will with a Ph2 ie. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:
Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem. |

I've got an ultralight flywheel, and really It doesn't seem much different to the standard one, in terms of pulling away, idling etc.

a facet pump WILL NOT work with a turbo unless its suck through.
