Anyone running an early VW Golf radiator up front?

Some of the Miglias run them and a quick search through ebay shows lots available at a good price.

Best bit is the inlet and outlet on the same side.

EDIT: Core Dimensions are 525mm long, 320mm high and 33mm thick.

wow, cheers paul thats a very handy bit of info - you even supplied the dimensions too!! *happy*

i'm going to have to measure up at some point during my build now to see if i can get a front mounted rad in there.

when you say early are you talking mk1 / mk2?

I was looking at this:

Clio looks interesting, although a bit tall.

I have a VW Vento radiator placed in MOT 977L . (dim:528x299x22mm.)
With an electric fan and electric pump it works perfectly!!

The mounting holes in my Miglia are 445mm apart so it looks like it may have had the Polo radiator in it.

It's a very similar size to the rad in MOT so should do the business.

bit of a bump here.

is it definately the smaller golf rads that the migs run?

I saw a load at castle combe a few weeks back, and was told by 2 guys tehy were running mk4 golf rads, which are a 650x415 core....

I've just ordered a mk4 golf rad and it's arrive, but it looks fecking HUGE!!!!

Does anyone have any idea of the dimension from the subframe to top of slam panel on the mini? I don't mind if it sticks proud a bit, but if it's way too big I'll have to rethink and get a mk3 gofl rad instead.....
