If a garage did it and its not right, fire it back at them and tell them to sort it out. One of the most simple engines there is so nothing complicated to get wrong really.

had an astra that did the same, cam timign was perfect. had it up on the diagnostics machine and took it out a run, it was knocking its tits off, and the ecu was poulling 15-20 degrees timing out each cylinder to try stop it. bunged some octane booster in the tank and she ran fine while it was present in the fuel. tuened otu the head gasket had been done, and the head skimmed, on measurement it had been skimmed tonnes, CR was way to high. !

also if its a 16v. there really bad for valves sticking in teh guides.

turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TO MINE IN CASE ITS RELavent oops caps ...

the pulley on the crank that has a toothed wheel on it ,had slipped on its keyway then jammed so it seemed tight , the aa man reckoned dead coil pack ,but when i got it home i sussed it and took it off cleaned up the toothway ,and tightened it back on ,it was fine .

Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM

the car was ok when you took it in its now come back after a cambelt fitting not running right THE ONUS IS ON THE GARAGE.

What was the failure scenario?

i recon you should do a compressoion test. If the belt failed totaly, you will have bent valves, may not look like it but you will.

Could be any number of things with the fucktards that around these days

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...
