I changed the damper on my dads Vito the other day. For those of you who don't know these cars, the suspension strut is mounted to the hub with two bolts. One of these bolts have an offset washer that adjusts the camber on the car. Of course I forgot to mark where it was "supposed" to be and after refitting the new damper, the car now pulls to the right when driving. I change the left damper.

So, what have I done to the geometry to make it pull to the right. Too much negative camber or tpp much positive?

Obviously, the camber change also affects the tracking to a small degree. The steering arms are at the rear, as per Mini. That means if I've decreased the camber, the hub is moved further out making the car more toe out.

So, which way should I try to adjust?

More or less camber?

When driving in a straight line, where does the steering wheel now point?

If it'd only been that easy. It was nowhere correct for starters. :)
If it was I would've managed to determine this myself infact!

get teh car on a level surface, then use a plumb line and a measuring tape on the good wheel measure the difference in distance between teh top of the wheel and the line and the bottom of the wheel and the line. then ajust the "bad" side till its the same.
