I used a sandwich plate behind the oil filter housing on my build. It avoids all the messing with hydraulic fittings etc.

Ive found this aswell, mashed up an oil gauge feed pipe trying to do it up, thought it was just because the threads are slightly tapered, most of the thread doesnt actually go in to the t-piece, but ive yet to start it to see if it will leak. |

So all you need is a 1/8 BSP to 1/8 BSPT adaptor? Is this not an easy thing to source? On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

I use a remote filter housing because my alternator sits low so i had more room for my intercooler! I suppose i could tap a hole in my blanking plate though, good idea, never thought of that! will that get a constent supply of oil, excuse my ignorance, i have no idea about the oil galleries. All the male male fittings above are 1/8 BSP parallel to a tapered body fitting. Edited by Mr Joshua on 10th Nov, 2008. Own the day

so instead of 70-80 psi at the gauge it will be 60, i'm sure thats more than enough!!!!

It could be anywhere from 0 - 10% drop if the gauge is 5% off relative to the other gauge. Either way, I think its a neat solution and I'm sure it will work perfectly On 12th Nov, 2009 Paul S said:
