Hi,
I was at Trax today and I saw a very tasty Clubman Turbo.
It was darkish metallic red with a black roof, 10" Revolutions, buckets, done up dash, and a few other bits. I spoke to the owner briefly (by the Peugeot stand whilst you were waiting for your mate in the other Turbo'd mini)

if you're on this forum then hi, I like your car a lot. Do you have a spec list of it and some pictures?

I've just got my Clubman 1275GT back from the sprayers and am in the process of rebuilding it all. Should be on the road soon!

Cheers :)

Should be a few pics on this link!!!

spec wise its a 1380 but only 8psi boost as there is no intercooler at present, will run more when i get it fitted. Aiming for 150bhp but am very happy with 120bhp(@flywheel) which its got at the mo.The colours are rover nightfire red and honda nighthawk black, and unfortunatly for me a blown head gasket which happened on way home from trax *frown*

Anyway thanks again and good luck with the GT, you will have to post pics on here when its done*smiley*

question for ya T3tone, I would assume bieng a bit more roomie under the clubby bonnet that you dont need to cut a box out at the back?

Cheers, Stevo

Not very sunny swanage

nope, the subframes and bulkhead are identical to a roundnose, so you still have to fit a box. i suppose you might be able to move the engine forward on the mounts to get round it, but it would upset the balance of the car.

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!

Cheers for the reply.
Pics look great. I was hoping to ask for a quick ride in it but I could see you were raring to go again! 120bhp in a Mini must be pretty mad - I hope you aren't still running drum brakes all round! Cooper S spec needed!
What time did you get in the 0-60 then?

Oh yeah - where did you get your dash from? I want one

My original plan was to get mine in a similar colour scheme to that. Mine was going to be Peugeot Diablo Red with a black roof. Unfortunately I didn't have the cash to get metallic at the time so I went for a flat colour. My Clubby is now Opel Atlantis Blue.

Been slogging away trying to get all the subframe back on and stuff today after changing the steering rack. Got it all on, lined up etc, then found one of my balljoints on the passenger side to be shagged - got to sort that now before everything else can go back together - nightmare!!!
Should be on the road soonish - it's gotta get me to Uni in a few weeks so I don't really want to be driving from Northamptonshire to Southampton in an untested 25 year old Mini! Need to get some idea if it's going to be reliable first!

My mate got a picture of it at Trax also:

Mini stevo- Yes m8 as nutter driver says you do need a bulkhead box in the clubby (unless you use a T2 turbo) I have also tilted the engine forward slightly with adjustable steady to leave a little more room around the turbo.

ben1275gt- oh yes, cooper s discs with carbon mettalic pads!!!
As for the 0-60 i was so chuffed i left the time sheet in the windscreen*wink*, managed a 5.81 second run *happy*

I made the dash myself out of MDF and covered it in black vinyl, not too bad to do really, just took a while to keep trimming it until it was a nice fit.

Hope you get the GT done in time, sounds alot of work still to do!!!

5.8!!!! Thats one impressive time. I'd ideally want a 1380 engine for my GT, gotta find a 2nd hand one!
