Nah,,, it`s just bent the reverse gear slector "Arm",,, the one with the little pin sticking up into reverse gear,,, it`s just that they`re a pain in the arse to rip apart & stick back together,,, no problem tho,, just rather we didn`t have to do it,,, Old mate Stewy has reefed it out of reverse after a stall & it`s bent the little arm & now all the gears are stiff & locks te stick a bit here & there & it`s just one of those things,,, it`l be back on the track in a week or so *wink*

It did take me a while to diagnose it tho,,, sure was a tough one to work out, but still,,, it`s good to "make" the brain actually do some work from time to time hey? *wink*

Interesting.

The TT has been difficult to select gears for the last few events, but it is also more difficult to get into reverse than it used to be. Hummm

I only have 4 gears to contend with, at most events we only get up to 4th for a short period, so an extra two would be ballast!

Nice box though.

hee hee Wil,,, you don`t realise how right you are actually,,, this big heavy thing with all that extra recipricating mass becomes an extra pile of oil pumps too , when you think about it ,,,, i can feel the power loss compared to my 4speed (ok it`s not tooo much), but it`s there & if i can feel it then, in my books, it`s not as good as say a really lightweight 5speed doggy,,, especially if that really lightweight internal-ed doggy was a sequential *smiley* *smiley* *smiley*

& yeah it`s pretty dam smart box with 6th being a decent overdrive good for over 130mph with a 1591cc, Arden crossflow donk plonked ontop *smiley*

Just that it wears your bloody arm out changing all those super close ratio gears soooo dam often *smiley*

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

I was just recoing in auss it is very hot with the air density and a NA 8 port push rod engine it would be asking a lot for it to make 200+ hp

I knew there was a reason to live in a cold damp country.

Yeah it gets warm here sometimes, Not all the time tho,,, just imagin what our engines would run like if they were in England *smiley*

PaulH,,, i don`t believe i know of a N/A push rod mini engine here in Aust that has 200hp,,, where did you here that?

& i`m not sure there`s any reason why i`d live in such a cold damp place like where you guys are,,, i visited England in 1999 & wasn`t very impressed,,, Byron bay on the other hand is a very nice place & there are hundreds of spunky chicks from all over the world wearing virtually nothing at all nearly all the time.

Ha,,, why would you even think about living anywhere else? *smiley* *smiley* *wink*

I think even the silly engined Minis will struggle to get past 150. Im sure some of the boffins on here would be able to calculate.

JamesH,,, it really is tough living here,,, constant clear blue skys most of the time, wicked surf, lots of hot bricks buzzing around, lots of naked hot Swedish Backpacker chicks wanting to hook up, constant erections *smiley* very "Hard' place to live *smiley*

Maybe i should move over there where it`s raining & sooty & overcrowded & cold & miserable *smiley*

But hey? if you come over here for a visit, make sure you bring sun-screen & sun-glasses, the Beach Hotel/pub at Byron gets pretty glarey at lunch time
*smiley*
