There are worries that my metro turbo verto clutch won't take the power that my 1380 supercharged engine will kick out. Looking for options to upgrade. I have heard that vmax can do modded verto clutch plates to give more clamping pressure. The the other option is to go pre verto what parts would I need to convert and ruff idea of cost?

Thanks

take a look at robert double spring verto mate. seems to have lasted on his as far as i know and i would have thought his is putting out more power than your expecting.

robert certainly seems to have cracked it with his set up. But it might be slightly easier and cheaper to go pre verto if you don't mind a little bit of peddle pressure.

There's tons of post on here about what you need. If memory serves correctly the parts you need to change are...

flywheel (make sure you get the correct ring gear for your starter)
clutch plate
back plate
diaphragm (at least an orange, I'd personally go straight for grey)
drive straps (if the flywheel doesn't come with them
clutch release bearing
plunger & arm
clutch slave cylinder
1 piece hose for the cylinder

If you ring any decent mini parts supplier (I always use min-its) and tell them what you are looking to do they will sort you out with all the parts.

Here's the link:

You need to go down a few pages before you get to the double spring version.

Stephen Hawking - "The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge."
