apbellamy and myself have recently MOT'd our Metrovan.

Now it is time to replace the engine. So the old one is for sale.

The engine has done 56,000 miles and run's very well.

Emissions for test were less than 1% CO @ Idle (too lean i know)
and HC was 400ppm

BT (it's an ex BT van) upgraded the head to unleaded in the early ninties when it had covered approx 35,000 miles.

It runs well and can be seen running until Friday 21st november.

I will sell the engine/box complete for £50 + a complete A+ gearbox in part exhange. (condition of box is not really important, but needs to be a good case etc as will be used as an exchange)

Otherwise will split and sell as follows.

8:1 Low compression short engine £20
(ideal for super/turbo charging?)
CAM4810 Standard unleaded cylinder head - £20
(Postage is £15 or you can collect it)

Other parts are available including clutch, drop gears, clutch housing, HIF38 carb etc.

let me know if you need anything as I have some other bits and pieces too.

The bigger parts are collection from Rotherham, South Yorkshire. I can post smaller stuff, like carb etc.

If so I'm interested in the short engine. I do have some good A+ boxes if you'd prefer not to split it. But iirc all my boxes have the diff removed.

All being well, the Van will be on the road on December 1st so we could probably deliver after that (for a small fee).

A deposit will secure the short motor for you.
