Hi

After tinkering with plenty of minis,

Currently

1310 72 GT (roundnose) 286 LCB etc, known as red shed.
1275 80 GT some kind of mad unknow spec. in bits currently.
1000 83 cooper look a like lent long term to brother
1300 80 donner rotten mini
1000 79 when i get round to it mini
70's deseamed shell, which was stripped for parts and I bought cheap!!!

I recently bought a metro turbo engine box turbo regulator fuel pump and ecu boost pack.

Planning to fit all this in the white deseamed shell when I stick some inner and outer sills on it.

I still need.

Exhaust clamp and a section of down pipe
Resistor or what ever its called for the fuel pump
MPI tank or modded tank.
Boost Guage


And will be lurking and asking some questions if thats ok.

Is the way to go a pipe connecting the turbo up to a RC40 or is a bigger system needed?

Should I be looking to intercool from the word go? and if so where do I acquire then required plenum?

Is a mpi front subframe required or should i be drilling holes in subby further forward to move the lump forward a bit??

Any help would be appreciated.

Right ill try answer a few q's if i can remember them!

A standard subframe fits fine with an adjustable engine steady. I have no problem's with room at all.

Tanks can be modded easily enough.

Downpipe for the turbo is 2" Ive got a 2" bore maniflow system as it was already on the car and it fits a treat. Not sure what bore an RC40 is.

Downpipes can be picked up cheaply at minispeed or avonbar.

Oh yeah, ive been told that you can get away without intercooling upto 10psi aslong as everything is set up right.

Gettin hold of a montego plenum is fairly tricky, a better bet is just to cut the "U" part of the metty on and connect the pipe's up from there.
