im not selling but i need to know if ive valued it correctly with my insurers...basic spec

reshelled 1970 austin cooper with heritage certificate
in vgc with recent gunmetal grey paint and full body restoration
running in miles 1293 turbo + box with med stg2 head
omega 10cc pistons
arp bolts throughout
turbo technics recon turbo
maniflow front pipe and custom exhaust
sportpack alloys and arches
metro turbo front brakes
safety devices rear cage
cobra buckets
twin tanks

Sounds a nice car.

I wouldn't like to put a value on it as I never really look at nice Minis for sale, I always buy cheap ones and then build them to how I want.

But what I would do for insurance is to value it not for its supposed 'market value', but value it to how much it would cost you if you were to build another one exactly the same as it.
For example, my other track car is probably worth maybe £3500 if you were to sell it, but to build another the same if it were stolen etc would cost in excess of about £5000 in parts and then labour on top of that.

Hope that makes sense.
