Make and Model: Austin Morris mini clubman
Year: 1980
Price: £400 with all bits
Location: Wolverhampton, West midlands (WV3)

Colour: White
MOT Expiry: N/A
Tax expiry: N/A
Mileage: 44858
Manual or Automatic: Manual

Number of previous owners: 3
Class C/D write off? N/A
Available Service History: None

Description

Sadly, I'm having to sell my clubman project due to unforeseen circumstances. Strapped for cash.

Anyway, I don't have any history for it, the only paperwork I have for it really is the V5

Hasn't got the original 1098, instead i have a 1275 awaiting a rebuild for it (engine number: 12HD09 1524G7) unsure on the milage, the person i bought it off said it was around the 40's. its the complete engine with gearbox but not much else.

The shell is in ok'ish condition, heres a list of panels and repair work needed:
Sills inner and outer both sides (it has oversills so personally id just gut the lot and start from scratch)
Left and right new wings
A-panels
Hinge panels
Rear valance
Rear quarter repairs (in the usual place)
I think the drivers doorstep may need a patch (unless I'm thinking about my old mini)

The worst part of rot is in the gutters at the rear, difficult job to do but there are several ways for going about it

Not so bad the other corner but not far off

The subframes look fixable, just looks like surface rust to me.
doors, bonnet and boot all seem to be sound, it has all glass still in it. I have genuine clubman bumpers front and rear, clubman grill.

Interior:
Well, there isnt much tbh, i have a rear bench out of a mayfair that i was going to re-cover but i was looking for some of the original seats for the front (i bought it without a interior)
It has black top and bottom dash rails and thats about it, no doorcards or carpet. oh and it has a heater and some of the loom left (may be complete)

Its rolling on 10" steels with drums all round

Bits i have to go with it are:
mini special 10x5 alloys x5
the 1275 complete engine
it comes with the smaller petrol tank but i also have a bigger spare one
a big box of spares including headlamps, another heater, alternator, dizzy, radiator and a load of other bits that I cant remember

There's a few other bits that I cant remember atm, I'll edit as I think of them.

Delivery is a possibility depending on my mate fixing his Frontera.
Hire of trailer and diesel would have to be paid for by the buyer

Here's a load of pics:

As it stands now

When i bought it

Think that's about everything

hmm sort of agree with with this and sort of dont really. although it may be a bit cheeky to come here just to sell something i dont really mind coz it could be usefull if somebody wants to buy it so dont really see the harm in it.

fink £400 bit steep lol

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Flippin hell.

Sorry if I cant find the time to 'contribute' to every mini forum there is lol. nearly a thousand posts on 2 other forums doesnt leave much time for others tbh lol, then theres the various VW forums I'm on. all i was trying to do was share the love of my clubby and get it sold.

Some of you will probably agree you cant post on every mini forum there is.

If you have a problem with me ill ask mods to delete my account? will you be happy then?

Just put me off the forum all together now and I've been here a day, cheers *Clapping*

Anywayyy...

Browsing the forum has kinda persuaded me to keep the mini tbh. some awesome minis on here. But I'm still leaving it up for sale just encase.

Plans for it where/are 1340cc race spec engine supercharged.
keep it standard looking outside minus some wider wheels n arches and standard inside minus some more hugging seats and harnesses (maybe a cage). will be kept white (after an audi white but I'm yet to find out the code for it

Cheers for the welcomes anyway *wink*

Think you may have to drop the price me old. Its a decent price if your local, you may be better off in the local ad mag.

I would drop the price but i paid £500 for the clubby alone. But there's a long story behind that and I wasn't exactly in the position to argue the price.

I'm at such a loss selling it for this price but ahhwell. Another thing making me want to keep it. just seems pointless loosing out on all that money for nothing. id rather loose out on the money but end up with a beautiful mini at the end of it.

Reckon it would get snapped up in minimag or something alike?

Unfortunately it is about in the least desirable state it could possibly be for a sale, wings cut off, no engine fitted, a real basket case. I think it is the gutter rot that will really put people off, you could try the magazines but as above I'd say you are better trying to flog it locally.

ill be honest with you. if that was my car and it was in a running condition with a ok interior, then i would re-shell it, before scrapping the old shell.

however as this is only a shell..........

unless your very handy with a welder, have a few £££'s tucked away, and a lot of time, then be prepared to make a loss

its a real shame when that the car owes you so much money but sometimes you have to cut your losses really. i think the roof condition will put a lot of people off mate and add that to the fact its in bits. my advise if your getting rid would be to put it on ebay if you need to get rid, but dont think your gonna get much for it sorry.

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Yeah, its the roof that's really put me off keeping it.
Several ways of fixing it but none of them are easy.

Wings are a piece of cake, i have access to all the kit I need (beasty spot welder :p ). sills i could do, any other repairs on it I can do tbh its just the roof.

Its eather replace it all from the pillers with a roof off another mini, or re-skin the roof and repair the gutters whilst its off. both are expensive and time consuming.
