Guys

I know people out there use the fuel tanks from the injected minis, I am interested in using one of these as I have my car fitted with all the fuel injection pipes that run underneath, and I think by using these pipes and all the injection fuel filters etc it will make a neat job of the installation.

So what I want to know is, is the in-tank injection fuel pump up to the job, or do people still use the external metro type fuel pump and just use the injection tank for the return?

At the moment I have a std tank modified with a return into the top of it, but I don't like all the nasty bits of pipe and adaptors I have to use to get it from 8mm up to 10mm for the pump and then get a filter in there etc etc, I have all the steel pipes to hopefully install the twin-poin type fuel filter on the std bracket the twin-points had on the subframe.

<EDIT>

Just had a read back and it seems that I can use the injection pump for up to about 10 psi boost, but over that not so good, so seeing as I already have a modified tank and the proper turbo fuel pump I may as well use those.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

I think you'll find it should be fine. easiest way is to measure the output pressure from the pump. Im using one on about 10psi and its perfectly fine. much quieter and neater.
