Hi,

My headlights have stoped working again, they worked fine this morning and have been since i took the fuse box out and rubbed down all of the terminals.

The full beam flasher works absolutey fine, do you think i should be thinking about investing in a new fusebox, if so should i try and get one which doesnt have glass fuses but the newer kind in?

Thanks

Jon

if flash works, that would suggest the main beam is ok, have you checked power is getting to the connections near the bonnet catch?

ive had a nightmare recently getting my lights to work, replaced all the shite under there with a kit like this:

and they working sweet as a nut now

Stoke-on-Trent. Duck.

I recall having a problem ages ago where my [clubman] sidelights would work, full beam worked, but main beam wouldn't. Turned out to be filthy contacts on the indicator stalk.

Although the fuse box is the "easy" (though expensive) replacement might not be the cure! At risk of being horrendously chastised... I'd try "a piece of wire" to try by-passing the fuse box to see if the main beam works. But to be fair my electical skills are rubbish, I have to "convert" everything to mechanical to understand it.

Er. Apologies if this is no help at all!

Turns out it is just a dodgy connection at the fuse box, wriggled it about a bit and it works fine now.

Thanks for the help
