I've been buying again....

Got some nice shiney bits for the cooling system. *happy*



I just need to order £200 of samco hoses now...

And I've bought a grill from a Triumph 2000.



It's about 4cm too wide and the headlight rings are about 1cm too far apart, but that's nothing that I can't sort out. I know it's on the wrong car, but the front of the black one is far too close to the snow...



If I bring the headlight rings together, chop 1cm of each end and curve the corners in a bit, it should fit really well. Just needs a polish, some fresh black paint and a couple of propper badges.

I've been allowed an hour in the garage, so I thought I'd make a start on the replacement doors.

I have two frames with some rust in the bottom, 1 repair panel and 2 genuine skins to go on them.

They're both in roughly the same state. Rust chopped out:



Repair section trimmed to fit and tacked in:



I'll get the other one to the same state and then seam weld the repairs in. Then the skins can go on. *tongue*

When I get round to building then engine, I'll be using a MED stage 3 head. As standard it has 20.5cc in the head which will leave me a far too high compresion ratio. So it's been for some fettling by Benross

It now has 28cc in each chamer, which should give me a CR of 8.0:1. Lovely.

Been cracking on with the door frames. Both of them are welded up. The passenger side is ground down



and filled



Just leaves a splash of primer, any butchery for the central locking, the drain holes to drill and the skins to fit.

Small steps and all that...
