I cant get the rivet gun in close enough due to the hole being shrouded by the rets of the arch?

Look for a different rivet gun, some have a thinner tapered nose that allows you to get in.

I modified my rivet gun so it could get in tighter to the arch by grinding the side a bit |

Ive had a good hunt locally and on the net for long nosed guns, ive got the lazy tong type and the hand gun type, but both are way to stubby

Don't rivet on as it is sometimes useful to be able to remove your arches as Matty will testify when we set his car up there was not enough clearance to fit the targets with arches in place On 5th Sep, 2011 Vegard said:

I have a really thin ended Gesipa set of rivet pliers. Never had any probs getting into spaces and i do quite a lot of glued and riveted honeycomb work on racecars. |

righto, gonna use m3 countersunk rivnuts, so the arches sit flush on the body, preferably stainless, but ill use ali ones if need be
