Welcome! I will leave recommendations to other members however. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

Hi Paul S, thanks for the advice. Did you use MED for a new engine or to have work carried out on your current one? |

MED are more of an engine machining company- if you took your engine out and to pieces they can rebore it etc for you. They don't do work to complete cars.

Hi Tom, basically the engine that i have is a little smokey and overheats quite alot. i cant trust it to get me anywhere so am probably looking to have it re-built to provide some reliability so i can start using it as my day to day car (when i ge tthe rest of it finished)! i would like reliability along with a bit of fun!! |

The best way is to do most of the work yourself, and just have the machine shop stuff (ie, rebores, crank grinding, etc) done by specialists who have the equipment.

Hi Rod, thanks for the reply. i definately need to start doing some work off my own back, but with time and space a shortage at the moment having some external help is must for me along with not currently knowing anything about engines!! i do have a second mini with a 1275 in it which is where i think i will start my education |
