Hi everyone, just ran my new engine in, took it to rolling road, and got a fairly impressive result for my first engine build. its a 1293 eaton supercharged running 8 psi 10cc dish pistons and NO decomp plate, plus standard box with uprated diff pin.The figures are as follows - 116 bhp @ 5400rpm and 110ftlb of torque, does this sound about right? im chuffed especially with my 2.9 diff and 10" wheels .:) |

Numbers are only good for pub talk mate, its how it drives that counts! If you are pleased with it that is the main thing.

Point taken Tom, the only reason i ask is when u see all these kits advertised they alll say 140 bhp from standard 1275, just wondering if i was doing something wrong or they might have added a few horsepower in their ads for affect , im guessing the latter .:$

I'd guess you would be correct. At the end of the day much more power and you will start pushing the limits of a standard gearbox, so if I were you I'd enjoy what you have.

Also remember some RR give hp @flywheel, and HP at wheels. Two very different figures. |
