Well not a bad show I thought, shame about the windy chill, but good con for power I guess.

Any way Well done Jon for your 4.95 sec 0-60! very good sir, (you seemed to get that run spot on looked fast) and I can't leave out Turbo Dave well done mate for your good effort in driving what is probably one of the most hardest minis in the world to drive lol! still got a 4.7 i think (with out the gas!)

Nice to also catch up with Turbo Phil and his mate.

Yes some very impressive times indeed, well done boys!!!Dave done extremely well to have got the time he did and if it was not such a nightmare to drive i would have thought a low 3 or even a high 2 sec run could be achieved with this car. Jons 4.9 being one of the best front wheel drive minis ive seen. Don't know the quickest time of the day but saw the rear wheel drive mr2 turbo engined one do a 4.25!!

Yes managed to pull one out the bag after 5.7 and 5.3's etc.

The sub 5 was only on 15 psi, wound it up to 20 on the next run and back to 5.3. Proving it is all about traction off the line, ie finding that balance before the wheels start spinning through too much power.

Nice day all in all, bit chilly at times.

First show i have been to in years apart from the usual petrol head event such as Avonpark and Coombe, it is easy to forget just how big the Mini scene is.

Even getting back up to my birds place in yorkshire i was behind a Mini at some lights with their cavalcade stickers in the back window.

Oh cheers Mat!!, was strange meeting you in my own village this moring due to that accident on the A45, will sort you out when i see you next for that gallon of fuel you donated to Dave.

So can i add 0 to 60 Daddy(A series FWD) to my list of attributes??!!

Jon I was just out for a nice drive in the country, minding my own business and the next thing is you pulling along side me and "you said follow me I know where I'm going"
the next thing is I found my self at silverstone at some mini show!

like I say I was only out for a quiet drive in the country! LOL It's a good job I don't normally follow people out of the blue like that, who knows where i could end up next *wink* *happy*

m4dn35s , cheers mate:)

I know a few Renault 5 GTTs got some stupid times. 3.9 and 4.2

that was one big show, loads of interesting cars, lots of inspiration, the cavalcade was good fun, unfortunatly i missed the 0-60 action.saw a fair few turbo'd minis, miniwilliams and giallofly's were the two i recognised, i would have stopped for a chat but neither of you were with your cars.
anyway giallofly-why the toothbrush?

Saw Jons car, heard the twinnie :) , saw Dan (I think, wasn't sure and was too far away to say hello), and managed to miss most stuff through catching up with mates.

Saw Nicks car on the KAD stand. A car like that or Jons would be the perfect home my 8 port engine...... :)

Ahhh Sauber, our paths cross again but i did'nt get to meet you!!

Power...oh a sore subject!!

This engine has'nt been on the rollers but judging it by other engines i have ran i would it is 175/180ish.

It is a very tractable lump pulling from very low down in the rev range.

Yes Iian.

Too much power is a problem of the mark, that is what this traction control is all about or in our case our bleed valve and right foot!

Turbo Jay, i was at the Trax show the week before MITP and there was an RS200 there that got into the high 2sec is that what you meant??
I also did a 0-60 at that show and got a 5.3 sec which i was pleased with. But after seeing jons good time i now know i need to get some slicks fast :)
