forgetting vernier and sticking with a normal duplex kit, could it be lightened any further than the lightened version you can buy?

You could possibly get away with joining every 2 holes together to make 4 slots but why not buy the Swifty alloy centre set or the MED all alloy set?

The Swifty one is quite cheap, not sure about the MED one though

Put a chamfer on the sharp corner near the edge, thats what i do when im lightening the standard ones. (attulay thats what he said^^)

changing the subject slightly, i've been looking at the MED all alloy set, and been offered the minispeed vernier belt drive kit for the same price, so belt or chain? (chain noise is not an issue, changing belts not an issue either) |

i would stick with chain, to manu issues with adverse oil leaks from the belt kits about. always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas |
