Right ive spent the last hour serching with no joy.

On my rear bulkhead the top fuel line fitting that goes in the tank foul's on it so ive had to cut a hole in it but now i need to cover the hole with somthing.

Idealy id like ally but supose somthing fiberglass/carbon would do, it needs to be around the same size and depth as a mini door scoop.

Any ideas ? ? ? ? ?

Rick

ps I could use a door scoop but the ally door skins are £45 wich is way too much to cut up, am sure there is somthing out there

What about one of those handle escutcheons available from a go faster shop for not much cash? Same profile as the divot in the door where the handle is.

What Tom said, or maybe a sandbag and a hammer on a bit of ally plate?

Depending on whether you can "find" a door that someone's willing to let you have a go at fibreglassing...

Lay down a few layers of Beeswax on a door escutcheon, quick splash of release agent and then make yourself a door escutcheon mould. Wax up the mould and keep popping out new escutcheons till the cows come home! And pehaps sell them on for £20 *wink*

I got all my f/g stuff from a place called CFS; http://www.cfsnet.co.uk/acatalog/Woven_Glassibre_Cloths.html

Might be a lot more effort than it's worth to be honest, but it's an option for future work I guess!
