Just wanted to say Hi! People here have been very helpful today, already! Been lurking a bit, and need prompted my first post. Now I can't stop myself!

Like a lot of us, my car is still in the project stage. But I'm putting lots of hours into it! If you're interested, feel free to stop by www.pegdrgr.com and check out the saga. I'm working on cutting out rust and welding in patches right now. Just got word that my buddy and his wife (they are currently housing my car!) are moving to another state! Eek! Looks like I might have this done quicker than I'd originally planned! I have about three solid weeks of working on it before I have to remove it from their home. I'm hoping to have it in a state that I can move it directly to the paint shop, and when I get it back, finish it in my garage (much smaller than my buddy's). I just might have this thing done this year, if all works out well. Now, to find someone who can powdercoat my subframes...

just have them sprayed with 2 pac paint. much more robust then powder coating.

powdercoating can flake once chipped

Thanks, Iain. I had heard that there might be issues with flaking. But I have my heart set on the chrome look for the front subbie... Ooh, that would be the dangles, wouldn't it?

No a bog fan of chrome really but it would certainly stand out from the crowd.
