My garage has a wired alarm system, looks like a cheaper house system from Wickes or B&Q, two movement sensors, and contacts on the windows and the doors. You could probably get one similar for not much more than you'll be paying for one like the link?

Hard wired for me too - garage and workshop/shed are two seperate zones on the main house alarm - so are protected whenever we're out and are also covered on the house "night" setting.
Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |

if you want a PIR in the garage get a dual tech, as the others have said wired is the way forward

dont have a garage alarm, but the mini is insured on the house insurance :) got a button press garage door and my car parked right infront of it most of the time so you cant really get in w/o cutting the door off. plus no good stuff is in there anymore :) Drives
