Reads "my mates" max power whilst wearing my Mrs's underwear

My engine has been standing for 12 months i've just dropped it in and plan on trying to start it soon, been thinking about taking the spark plugs out and dropping a little oil down the cylinders just to coat them, do you think this is a good idea,
any other suggestions ?

Good idea.
Also, whilst plugs are out, crank the engine over on the starter to get oil pressure. If you have a gauge, it's easy to see. Once oil pressure achieved, continue cranking for arounf 10 seconds min.

Before ready to finally fire it up, whip the plugs out again, and repeat.
Fit plugs, and fire it up.
No oil pressure will kill a tubo in a couple of seconds once an engine is started....

Crack on!
