they're carbon seals so should be fine. can be done with the engine in the car, can be awkward. oil drain is best reached from underneath.

doh! stupid me, i was thinking that the seals would be like the usual rubber ones!

an extra long screw driver will help you do up the clips on the drain pipe from the top, that's another way to do it, but like iain says most do it from under the car, but i don't like getting muddy on the floor. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph
