i've got my intercooler sorted, thought i would be different and got a side mount from a skyline gts-t which fits neatly in the mini grille.

question is, can i safely clean it up and give it a light spray paint to bring it up looking nice and new without hindering performance?

then used some autosol afterwards!!

but yeah a quick light coat of silver paint wont harm it...

Matt black as it is the least reflective and allows the greatest heat transfer.

As Joey said a light dusting will do.

If you can, get it put in a chemical bath then get it chemicaly blacked. You can buy the agent to do this of the shelf, that way it gets ito all those hard to reach areas and you dont have to worry about clogging up your vanes with paint. My brother treated all the exposed bolts on his VFR like this and it worked a treat and looked the nuts.
