Pretty basic question i know, but what kind of fuel does a turbo run on now that unleaded seems to be the only kind available. Do I have to mix in an additive or something? I am almost at the stage of rolling the car out of the garage and heading for the MOT station and I don't want to cause any damage by running the wrong fuel. |

As long as you have a cyl head with exhaust valve seats (hardened) to run unleaded then any unleaded will be fine. I use optimax or super unleaded to be on the safe side. Additives can be a good idea as some add octane which helps surpress detonation. Just got a bottle of millers CVL turbo so gonna give that a whirl!!! -MINI CLUBMAN 1380 TURBO- |

Despite all the bollocks pandered around by fuel additive companies, you still are best off with Tetraethyl Lead. www.tetraboost.com (I think). Bugger off, I'm getting there. |
