King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

This is from memory, so I can't garuntee acuracy:

Left hand three are gearbox to engine (only need 2).
The big pink one in the middle is engine/box to flywheel housing.
The black and the matching grey one is for the diff housing where the pot joints attach.
The rubber bit sits between the box and the crank, next to the timing cover.
Top right is timing cover with (top) water pump and oil pump inside it.
Bottom right is a differnt timing cover with various oil filter and pump gaskets inside.
One of the O rings sits in the box where the oil pickup pipe feeds oil into the block.
The big black ring (should be 2) are drive shaft oil seals. The smaller black ring is gear selector oil seals.

I have a couple of coorections:

The black and matching grey one are actually the front plate gasket.

The single o ring will be for the timing chain cover oil seal.

I'll add

"The black and matching grey one are actually the front plate gasket" but only one gets used, they are ever so slightly different between a tensioned chain plate and an early non-tensioned plate, the bolt hole pattern is the same in both cases but the shape of the plate is slightly different at one point (where the gasket sits).

The lip seal is the timing cover oil seal, the "O" rings, one is for block to gearbox as stated, the larger thinner one is probably for the dizzy drive shaft retaining boss/dizzy mounting plate on an early ("A") block only.

Similarly there are two oil filter housing to block gaskets, the one above the lip seal and "O" rings is for the early blocks with a seperate element filter, the one below is for the later ones with a cartridge filter housing.

The copper rings, I haven't a clue but I've got quite a few lying around that I've never found a place for......

Yes, of course, early blocks again.

And I've just thought, isn't the other one for the single threaded oil gallery plug on the back of some of the earlier blocks ???
