im in need of a mg 1300 camshaft in extremley good condition or new would be preferd

can anyone help me please???

I've got one. From a 1973 engine with 40000 miles. Very good condition.

I think he means an MG Metro camshaft. They weren't around in the 70's.

Buy a Kent 500. Its the same profile.

If you haven't sorted one out in 2 weeks, I will check the condition of the spare I have lying around at home - due to a change in plans I no longer require it for my engine.

I have a mini cooper cam out of a 1990 h reg cooper if its any good to you.

Do it right the first time and make it mint!!!!!!

sorry it has to be a mg metro 1300 cam or a md500 kent cam

1990 Cooper had the same cam as MG Metro too

Hi, We have to use the MG Metro Cam 6648 in the Mini Se7en I Race. Supply comes from Piper through Mike Garton to the club members and are brand new ones. They are a bit steep though at £125 ish. But if your stuck let me know. I'll have a look throught he garage tonight as I have a few second hand ones that have'nt done that many miles (one or two seasons).

Do you guys rev 9000rpm with that camshaft? Where do you time it in?

Between 107 and 103 degs. Its likes a bit of advance. I could tell you the exact figure but then I would have to kill you!

Err...... no I'm talking aboutit an MG profile cam made buy Piper to meet our regs. The old part no was CAM 6648 when I bought them From Rover Motorsport for the price sum of £15 quid.

Besides it rude to call someone a nob!! I hardly know you!.. I think they say misguided.
