Old Posts- Links not working

Hi I am busy ploughing through old posts, gathering info etc. Lots of the older posts, the links to photos don't work any more. Am I being a computer biff or is there some reason for this??

i believe some of the photos went down when we had a server change a while ago.

what post/photos where they mate? if they are some of the important ones im sure somebdy on here backed the up.

It's probably because a lot of people use "hosts" ie, Photobucket etc. to display pictures with an IMG link - rather than putting them on the TM server and filling it up - and when your "free" photobucket (etc.) account gets full, people delete the old photos (because they're old) so the IMG link is pointing to something that just isn't there anymore.

An example: Show us yours page 49, thread about the frog. Here is a picture of the Frog... and theres no picture there. I was wondering if my laptop is set up wrong but what you guys say makes sense.

It's actually probably a combination of what James and I have said....

If you just see a little red cross, right click on it and look at the "properties" - it will tell you whether the link is meant to be to part of the TM server or an external "host".

I wouldnt bother looking at the frog anyway, it was my old car, and was a pile of cack.. lol
