i could be talking out my rear, but it might spark some interesting convo from those more technically minded.

no idea why but i was just wondering what the result or any advantage of putting together a hybrid set of rockers would be, 1.5 for inlet and 1.3 for exhaust or visa versa etc.

the fact that i know of no one who has done it means there is probably good reason no to, but like i say, might be a good convo

Isnt it the position of the rocker shaft that makes the ratio?

Paul

I seriously doubt it!

not on its own,you still need a different ratio rocker, theya re repositioned over the valve,so shaft will be further towards the rear of engine,

Very true, however, how would you go about mixing and matching the ratios without having a compex and expensive post and shaft assembly?

would be easier to buy a cam shaft that will do the same job a lot better*happy*

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

You need the shaft to suit the rocker, otherwise each roller tip would not be over the valve tip, 1.5's would be too far, 1.3's not enough.
