When I start my Peugeot 205 in the mornings the idle speed is up & down like a yoyo! One minute 900 rpm, the next its near 2000!

I chased minor air leaks in the pipework on a 205GTI for weeks,giving the same sort of symptoms,as well as hesitation on pickup and stalling, all intermittently.Best of luck in tracing the prob !! |

I think you could be right, I seem to remember something....perhaps when Tom gets online he maybe able to point me in the right direction.

I can help you with French translation. However there is no stepper motor on 205 GTI. There is no idle control at all LOL, except for the cold start.
