Nice sums that little lot up quite well. :)

Had a nice poke round the force racing stand on sunday, and there is no question where my crank and rods will be going when the time comes.

day 3 of the 3 week holiday, megasquirt is built and i enjoyed every second of it, extremely well layed out kit, but im sure we all know that by now, an order gone in with jean for the injector/ignition board and a couple spares
i built it up entirely, but some of that is coming back out now i have done alot more research and know exactly what i want left in, note the injection stuff is staying *wink*

Looks a tidy job, well done.

That is something that I've never done. Sturgeo has done our last couple.

Are you going to leave in the hall/opto input circuits for the cam sensor?

Brett,

Very neat soldering.

I won't repeat what I think you already know that 1/2 of it isn't required if you use Jean's driver boards.......
BUT - make sure you physically remove the minimum amount of components listed on Jean's website or you will create a 12V to 5V link and destroy the CPU if you set it up in 2 channel mode.

What's the yellow wire (top middle/right) for ?

Sorry, being far too negative......

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

the hall/opto circuit is actually the only bit i didnt put in, it wasnt until finishing the vr circuit i realised you can physically choose between them via jumper wires

yes Rod your right but it wasnt untill building up the main board that things started to fall into place ( in my head) jeans board was an after thought, and honestly i was only looking for another BIP373 for 4cyl wasted spark
the yellow wire i believe selects between logic level output and igniter output onto the DB37 for the directly driven single coil option

well today after i managed to get some energy together i started on the manifold, intentionally this was going to be a full manifold finnished off and running and then remade in stainless but after realising the old tubes i had ( an old lcb) was actually 3 different diameters i have decided to call it a day on this one.
My longest 'runner' if thats the right word id almost half in more in diameter :(
first of all i am not going down the equal length runner route for 2 or 3 reasons although i have absolutely bags of room it seems there may be a v3 mani
anyway here are a couple of the the pics

hmm what diameter is it andy? dunno if its worth just pikie-ing up this till its finnished

i think on my next manifold will tuck the runner from cylinder 1 up higher, there is alot more room under the inlet manifold than i first thought.

well after calling a few favours, and to save time and money the GT20 has gone down the back of the block, tbh im surprised how easy it was apart from a couple pissed up manifold studs *happy* the job is a beauty, downpipe went well, just a dump tube to make now

its 2.25 to just above the pot joint then 2 inch for the second bend

[edit] its actually a deformed 3 inch bend for the first bend down

all it needs now is 10 mins with a die grinder and one weld dressing back
i did have 2 inch ground clearance i now have 1 and 3/4 inch *happy*

and i think the best bit the whole lot can be fitted and removed without moving the engine *happy*
