I found the coils are cheapest from the dealers! if it helps. they are a little dumpy for a b series but youll need to try one to see. I have in my head the cop conversions use a motorbike coil? its v narrow at the top. must be sone info on honda-tech

turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

I'm pretty sure the r8 coils are the same as the 2.0tfsi coils out of the mk5 golf or similar

yes the 1.8t 2.0t are just about interchangeable, the r8 uses the 2.0t size soils

the connectors pretty chunky, to fit em on my k-sereis i had to hard solder little extender leads with plugs on them to the coils as there wasnt room for the proper connectors

best get this back up to date *happy*
so the standard cover allowed a little un required flex ability
i re made it out of ally, 3mm thick i think, and as your could predict the vtec head is not square or flat so it was not quite that straightforward,
anyway turned out alright
a bit more loomage, however i found whilst digging through the bmw loom pack there is a built in 240ohm resistor on the ground wires, strange and i cant work out why, but looks like it will have to stay

Looks really neat, shame that when finished most people wont appreciate or realise all the lil tricks you'd have done

and looking at how lost the brakes are in there i think some huge ones are on the to do list
as well as re cut arches and also i think i need much larger tubs for the rear wheels

soo today after being snowed off from welding, i have read up on every big break thread i could find.
after Colin pointed me down one path i was hooked into finding a great and cheap solution

so far this method i spotted over on 16vmini is the one i like the most, a pair of adapters should be easy enough

What you need to consider Brett is the cost of a pair of OEM discs against the cost of Wilwood rotors. You need an adapter eithe way so its just a choice of disc. I looked at the cost of the Wilwood rotors and decided it wasnt worth the extra bother trying to sfapt an OEM disc

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

There are a few options open im just pricing them up and weighing up pros and cons of the 2 main options and then a mix
1: wilwood rotors and calipers 10.2/10.4 inch rotors have been done a few times and with off the shelf wilwood calipers for a very reasonable price

2: landrover 4 pots and maxi discs 9.85 inch this is very nearly a straight fit and 1/3 the price of option 1
Mintex1144 compound pads are available too..

3: 3rd option is oem discs of some sort and calipers of some sort with adapters (there are loads and loads of options for calipers)

I think option 2 will be lighter and up to the job

Fuck off Land Rover 4 pots. You cannot build a car like swiss cheese to lighten it then bolt those fucking monstrosities on it.
Save up and buy a lightweight alloy 4 pot.

I'm with Tom. A nice set of off-the-shelf standard fir alloy 4-pots and a decent set of disks and pads will do the trick.

Whether you need vented or solid disks will depend on the weight of the car and what you're planning on using it for.

With all that power and how light the mini will be, maybe one of these is the best way to stop it.

What the mind can conceive the mini can achieve
MITP 2012 17.01 seconds 1/4 mile against "The Don"
MITP 2013 16.83 seconds 1/4 mile
