Right, i should no this but am getting confused? (dont ask)

When my engine was built by med a few years ago it was fitted with a 107 tooth billet flywheel, i then went to the scrappy and got the old type(long arm) clutch cover for it and away we go.

As the car was built from bits i never had a starter motor so got the old type with the solenoid on the wing. Ive allways had problems with either the starter or the solenoid ,turning the key and nothing happening.

Right i decided to take the cover off yesterday to remove the clutch (think it deserves a new one ) and found the flywheel bolt had come loose (hand loose!) , now its destroyed the keyed washer aswell. I carn remember where i got the fwheel bolt and washer from though, it must of been from a mg metro engine i had round the back of work? .

I obviously need a new keyed washer but theres two types? one at 6quid ish and the other is 20? but am unsure wot i need, i dont want to overlook somthing, i need to make sure i get the right one and that ive got the right release bearing and things aswell?

Any help or understanding you guys can give ? all this verto/ pre verto/ pre engaged is geting me confused.

Dont no why it should be easy>

Rick, if the bolts come loose , you need tro look carefully at the crank tail,

if its been run like this the tail will have damage, have you looked at it,
