Hi,

I bought MEDs ultra light billet flywheel package about a month ago, already assembled, however a bit concerned because I havn't fitted it yet and there is already surface rust developing (mostly on the actual flywheel and ring gear).

Is this part rusting normal, even when fitted to the car? My problem is I like everything to be super clean (with no rust!) when I put it all together. How can I remove the rust? Or is there any point in removing it in the first place?

Thanks.

as nic says bung it on,

the rust will only make a difference on the friction faces, even then a bit of surface rust is no biggie,

a squirt of wd will keep the rust off while stuff is stored, just be sure to wipe it off friction surfaces with solvent before fitting.
