hi i am currently rebuilding my 1293 tubo engine which will be fitted with roller tip rockers. iwas woundering if anyone could tell what to set the tappets clearences to?

Depends what cam you have fitted and the ratio of the rockers.

it got a standard cam i think and 1.5 rockers!

I would go with 16thou (0.4mm) then. Standard is 12thou iirc

if its a standard turbo cam i would ditch it for a more performance cam
lets say a N/A MG cam or the blistering avonbar phase 2 or a kent 266 maybe?

0.014" would be my setting on the standard turbo cam

thanks for all the suggestions got it running yesterday set em to 15tho but quite noisey. wanted a new cam but didnt have the funds maybe soon.
